I’m in the market for a new drone. I was able to create some amazing shots with my DJI Phantom 3 Standard but for one reason or the other I’m looking for a new drone.
There are two which come to mind, the DJI Mavic and the GoPro Karma. I think I would be happy with either of those but which of those is the best drone? Both drones fold up and are about in the same price range but which one should I get?
DJI Mavic
DJI has been in the drone business for a while now and are constantly improving their drones and their controls. What I mostly like is that the DJI Mavic folds down extremely small. So I could easily take it as a personal item on a flight when we’re traveling for our travel blog. I also like the foldable remote control, making this an extrem compact drone system, especially for travel bloggers like us.

GoPro Karma
Let’s talk about the Go Pro Karma which is illustrated on top of this article. With GoPro you’re buying an entire drone system which doesn’t include a camera. If I would go with this system I would add their latest GoPro Hero 5 Black to the drone setup (which is not included in the price). The camera itself is incredible (waterproof and has image stabilization included). And they also include an awesome backpack and their Karma Grip, which would balance your image even further, even when it’s not mounted to the drone.
More info: GoPro Karma, which will be available for sale on October 23rd.
Which Drone should I get?
That’s the big question! I like DJI’s experience but I love all the extra features and filming posibilities I would get with the GoPro Karma. I can’t make up my mind! Or should I go with the Breeze Drone after all?
What drone would you get? I would love to hear from you in the comments.
